You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
Alissa is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She provides counseling to individuals, families and couples in the Vancouver, Wa area.
She enjoys working with couples and families to resolve conflict, as well as with individuals as they navigate difficulties such as depression and anxiety. She is most passionate about couples and how to have a healthy lasting relationship, but is ready to provide a safe space to process for all individuals.
My Background
I have a Masters degree in Marriage, Couples and Family therapy from George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. I received my B.S. in Psychology at Washington State University Vancouver, and am a long time resident of the Pacific Northwest. I am currently under the supervision of Erica London MA, LMFT.
In my free time, I love to explore indoors and outdoors with my husband, our new baby, and our dog. We also have two cats that bring a lot of life into the house. I love to be creative, and to spend time with loved ones.
My Approach & Philosophy
I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience where I help guide you where you want to go in your own growth journey. I use an integrated approach mixing techniques and strategies from strengths-based, emotions-focused and narrative therapies. Working with couples, I tap into emotions-focused therapy and utilize my training from Gottman levels 1 and 2. Whether you are coming in as a couple or an individual, I am here to walk alongside and support you as you work towards your goals.
